HiveTalk — Terms of Service
Welcome to HiveTalk (the “Service”), operated at hivetalk.space (“HiveTalk,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1) Eligibility
You must be 13 years of age or older to use HiveTalk.
Users under 13 are not permitted. If we learn a user is under 13, the account and related data may be deleted.
2) Accounts & Access
You may use HiveTalk as a guest or create a registered account.
We may delete guest accounts at any time without notice.
We may suspend or terminate any account (guest or registered) with or without notice if we believe you violated these Terms, applicable law, or to protect users or the Service.
HiveTalk is currently free. If paid features are introduced later, additional terms may apply.
3) User Content & License
You retain ownership of content you upload or send (e.g., messages, images, videos).
You grant HiveTalk a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service.
You are solely responsible for your content and must ensure you have all necessary rights to share it.
4) Prohibited Conduct
You may not use HiveTalk to:
Violate laws or regulations (including illegal pornography, incitement to violence, or content that is unlawful in England and Wales).
Harass, threaten, or doxx others; coordinate harm; or distribute malware, viruses, or attempt to disrupt or scrape the Service.
Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
Circumvent technical or access controls.
5) Community Guidelines
These rules apply to public rooms and private messages. Violations may result in content removal, warnings, suspension, bans, room deletion or reclassification, with or without notice.
a) Adult / NSFW Content
Under-18 content is strictly prohibited.
DMs: Explicit content is only allowed if all participants are 18+ and clearly consent.
Rooms: Explicit content may only be posted in rooms clearly marked “18+.”
Posting explicit content in a non-18+ room will result in content removal.
If a room owner/mod posts or allows explicit content without the 18+ mark, the room may be deleted or re-marked 18+, and the account may receive a warning or ban.
We may remove material we deem unsafe, exploitative, non-consensual, or illegal, regardless of room settings.
b) Impersonation
Impersonation is allowed only for obvious parody/comedy and must clearly disclose you are not the person/entity.
Impersonation intended to mislead, deceive, or cause harm is prohibited.
c) Hate Speech
Illegal hate content (e.g., offences under applicable UK law) is not permitted and may be removed. We may take action to comply with law or protect users.
d) Moderation Powers
HiveTalk may remove or edit content; warn, suspend, or ban users; and delete rooms or accounts at our discretion, with or without notice.
6) Safety, Reporting & Law Enforcement
Report illegal content, harassment, or abuse to [email protected] with relevant details/URLs.
We review valid reports and may forward information to law enforcement where legally required or necessary to protect users.
We do not currently have a formal reporting partnership with NCMEC; if that changes, we will update these Terms.
7) Copyright Complaints
If you believe your copyrighted work has been posted on HiveTalk without authorization, email [email protected] with:
Your contact info, description of the work, and where it appears on HiveTalk (link or context).
A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized.
A statement that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorized agent.
We may remove or disable access to alleged infringing content and, where appropriate, notify the uploader.
8) Third-Party Services
HiveTalk uses third-party services, including Cloudflare (security/performance) and Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection).
Your use of HiveTalk may involve data processing by these providers. Use of the Service means you consent to their terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or how they process data.
9) Service Changes & Availability
HiveTalk is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, features, or access at any time without liability.
10) Disclaimers
We make no warranties (express or implied) about the Service, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, security, or non-infringement.
We do not control and are not responsible for user-generated content or third-party services.
11) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HiveTalk and its owners, affiliates, and staff shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; data loss; loss of profits; security incidents; or content posted by users.
Our aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of £10 or the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim (currently £0).
12) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HiveTalk and its affiliates from claims or demands (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or law.
13) Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts in England and Wales for all disputes.
14) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be indicated by the “Last Updated” date above.
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
15) Miscellaneous
Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
No Waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
Entire Agreement: These Terms (and any policies referenced or linked) are the entire agreement between you and HiveTalk regarding the Service.
